Demystify OS

Manufacturing

Demystify OS for Manufacturers (general)

Manufacturers (general): Small and mid-size factories: engineering job shops, auto-component, plastics and moulding units, garment, packaging and light-assembly units, and job workers who process a buyer's material.

Demystify OS lists 6 workflows for this industry, each step with the proof you check, and 3 of them are available today.

Every status on this page is shown as recorded: available, in beta, early access, on the roadmap, or on request.

Demystify OS Cloud Starter, 25 people: from ₹14,999 a month plus GST.

Demystify OS Cloud is an invite-only beta from 1 November 2026, public from 1 January 2027.

The moment that matters

An enquiry lands by mail, WhatsApp or a call, and the owner has to quote a part today without knowing what it really costs, while material is lying with job workers and nobody knows for how long.

What Demystify OS runs for Manufacturers (general)

Counted on 2 November 2026. A job we have not built is shown as on the roadmap, never as live.

Workflows

  • Part cost sheet

    Available

Cost a part before you quote. Build the bill of materials for a part. Finocket rolls up the material and process cost and labels the basis it used.

Proof: The rolled-up part cost shows before the price goes out.

    Done by: Finocket

  • Work in progress summary

    Available

Run work orders and see work in progress. Plan, start, book steps and close a work order. Production runs keep a step log with labour cost, and each order shows its work in progress.

Proof: Work-order status reads from one screen.

    Done by: Finocket

  • Busy machine alert

    Available

See which machine is the bottleneck. Read the load on each work centre for each day. It is an even-spread view, not a finite scheduler.

Proof: The busiest machine shows in the capacity load view.

    Done by: Finocket

  • Material at job workers list

    Early access

Track material sent to job workers. Issue material to a job worker on a delivery challan. Finocket keeps what lies with whom and warns before the return window runs out. The challan stays out of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.

Proof: Material at job workers is listed with the challan date.

    Done by: Finocket

  • Job-work return draft for your accountant

    Early access

Prepare the job-work return for your accountant. Finocket prepares the job-work tables from your challans and exports a CSV. It never files anything. Your accountant confirms the rules and the dates.

Proof: The job-work return is prepared from the challans.

    Done by: Finocket

  • Scrap and batch trace report

    Early access

Weigh scrap and trace a batch. Record scrap against a run and check the yield. Trace a batch forward and backward as a mock recall drill.

Proof: Batch trace and scrap records are kept.

    Done by: Finocket

Routines

  • Four-week baseline, then a monthly read

    Early access

Cadence: Four weeks first, then every month

You receive: Each metric below names where its number comes from; where it says a manual count, keep that count in a sheet.

You approve

Approvals themselves are in beta, invite-only. Each card approves the work of an agent that is on the roadmap for this industry, so each is shown as planned.

  • On the roadmap

Approve or reject the rolled-up part cost before the quote goes out

  • On the roadmap

Approve or reject a delivery challan before material leaves for a job worker

  • On the roadmap

Approve or reject the job-work return draft before it goes to your accountant

Memory and governance

One memory for every agent, and the controls around it.

Once for all agents: each part's bill of materials and routing, work centre cost per hour, each job worker and the return window on their challans, and the expected scrap yield per part.

  • Memory fabric

    Built, not launched to customers

One memory shared by every agent: your parties, items, price lists and decisions are held once, with where each came from, so an agent does not ask you the same thing again.

  • Approvals

    In beta, invite-only

Anything with a consequence waits for you. You tap approve or reject on your phone, and Mysty acts only after you do.

  • Evidence ledger

    Built, not launched to customers

Every action leaves a receipt, and the receipts are kept in one ledger you can check later, for your own auditor.

  • Guardrails

    Built, not launched to customers

Each agent has one role, a limit on what it may do and a named checker. Nobody marks their own work done. Money, publishing and outreach stay a person's decision.

Time and errors back: how you will see it

Measure first, then compare. Your own four weeks are the only baseline that counts. We print no promised saving.

  • Time

Challans, work-order steps and the job-work return come from one record.

  • Errors

Step rejections, overdue returns and odd scrap yields are recorded as they happen.

  • Cash

Cost is rolled up per part and per batch before and after the run.

  • Control

What lies with which job worker, and for how long, is on one screen.

Before you start
For four weeks before you switch on, count by hand: work orders closed in the month, material challans still open at job workers at month end, and booked steps where the inspector rejected a quantity. Keep one sheet, one line per event.
Every month after
Each month, read the same counts again and compare them to your four-week baseline.
Who reads it
Owner, with the production supervisor and the accountant.
Where it shows
Each metric below names where its number comes from; where it says a manual count, keep that count in a sheet.

Metrics to adopt: how the business runs

  • Work orders closed

    What it is
Number of work orders closed in the month.
    Formula
count of work orders closed in the month
    Where the number comes from
    Finocket manufacturing: work orders
    How often
    monthly
    Better is
    higher
  • Challans still open at job workers

    What it is
Number of delivery challans for material not yet returned by the job worker at month end.
    Formula
challans not yet returned by the job worker at month end
    Where the number comes from
Finocket job-work tab: material at job worker (BUILT; manual count until switched on)
    How often
    monthly
    Better is
    lower

Errors: count them as errors over transactions

  • Step rejection rate

    What it is
Share of the booked production steps where the inspector booked a rejected quantity.
    Formula
steps with a rejected quantity / steps booked x 100
    Where the number comes from
Finocket production runs: step log and inspection
    How often
    weekly
    Better is
    lower
    One error is
One booked step where the inspector booked a rejected quantity counts as one error, a human rejection.

Start with a four-week baseline

  1. Step 1. Pick your most repeated parts and enter their bills of materials in Finocket. Read the rolled-up cost and compare it with how you quote today.
  2. Step 2. Run every new work order through Finocket for four weeks. Book each step so work in progress shows, and keep a hand count of rejections beside it.
  3. Step 3. List the material now lying with job workers, with the date each challan went out. Give the list to your accountant so the return window is checked against real dates.

What OS does not do for you yet

The job-work layer is built but sits behind a switch that is off by default, and some of its data tables still need to be applied by Demystify. A dealer ordering portal, a shop-floor barcode terminal, serial genealogy for assemblers, finite scheduling and wage or attendance records are not available yet.

The use-case map says it was read from code and nothing was run. No customer count or size band is measured. Job-work, scrap, batch and job-work return items are marked BUILT because the source records them as gated by a default-off switch and unapplied data tables. Core bill of materials, work order, run, capacity and WIP items are LIVE with no switch.
